Ukraine has increased its electricity export by 45.1 percent year on year in the first eight months of 2017, the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry said on Friday.
In January through August this year, Ukraine exported 3.784 billion kilowatt hour (kwh) of electricity, worth 176.2 million U.S. dollars, the ministry said.
During this period, Hungary was the largest importer, accounting for around half of the total purchases, followed by Moldova and Poland.
Last year, Ukraine's electricity exports reached 4.014 billion kwh, growing 10.9 percent from 2015.
