Vietnam's state coffer collected around 843 trillion Vietnamese dong (37.3 billion U.S. dollars) in the first nine months of this year, surging 13.9 percent on-year.
A large part of the revenue came from housing and land tax, personal income tax, lottery tax and admin fees, said the country's Finance Ministry on Monday.
Domestic collections reached 29.3 billion U.S. dollars, up 11.4 percent on-year, and accounted for nearly 80 percent of the total, of which housing and land tax, personal income tax, lottery tax and admin fees were among the major contributors.
Budget revenue from crude oil increased 15 percent to 1.5 billion U.S. dollars. Meanwhile, collections from import and export activities reached 10.7 billion U.S. dollars, up 10.5 percent.
Over 90 percent of cities and provinces nationwide reported higher budget collections in the nine-month period.
However, direct revenue from production and business activities underperformed due to smaller contributions from major manufacturing sectors, such as oil and gas, automobiles, mobile phones and cigarettes.
