To Support Long-Term Financing,ICBC Indonesia Issues Global Bonds Worth USD500 Million
 

Jakarta, January 28th, 2015 -- Bank ICBC Indonesia has successfully issued a USD500 Million bonds with three years tenor, starting from January 28th, 2015.  The proceeds from the bonds would be used to finance long-term loans, such as infrastructure and other long term projects. 

“To support economic growth in Indonesia, especially in relation to long-term projects, Bank ICBC Indonesia has successfully issued global bonds amounting to USD500 Million,” said Shen Xiaoqi, President Director of Bank ICBC Indonesia. According to Shen Xiaoqi, the bonds issuance is to support long-term projects and also to allow Bank ICBC Indonesia to diversify its funding sources.

The bonds were bought by ICBC Limited, Bank ICBC Indonesia’s main shareholder. The decision was made based on ICBC Indonesia’s good financial condition, its future development prospects, and Indonesia’s general investment climate.  The purchase also reflected the full support of ICBC Limited to Bank ICBC Indonesia.
